This is the image that almost never happened!

While on route to my intended destination, I pulled over for a rest at this lake I knew very little about and after seeing it was very clear out, I decided to take some test shots. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing before me… the craziest airglow I have ever seen! Like cloud-like formations in the upper atmosphere, it was remarkable how bright it appeared on the back of camera. In the -9ºc night, I captured a couple of panoramas before I made my way on to my actual destination.

This would be an image I will never forget capturing and a moment that spoke to me, to always be ready for the unexpected and to always take a chance to have a look!
